Project Summary: Co-developed and launched a commercial AI product that transforms pet photos into anthropomorphized portraits, achieving remarkable market success with $100,000 in sales within three months of launch.

The Commercial Breakthrough
In late 2023, while working at Thingsflow, I co-developed what would become one of the most successful AI products in the Korean market: the Hellobot Pet AI Profile generator. This wasn't just a technical experiment—it was a full commercial product that proved AI could create real business value.
Working as a two-person team, we created an AI system that could transform ordinary pet photos into charming anthropomorphized portraits, giving pets human-like characteristics while maintaining their adorable essence.
Product Evolution
Initial Launch Our first release tested the market appetite for AI-generated pet portraits. The response was immediate and overwhelming, validating our hypothesis that pet owners would pay for high-quality, personalized AI art of their beloved companions.
Themed Expansions Building on this success, I led the development of several themed editions:
- Pet AI Profile 3: National Athlete Edition - transforming pets into sports heroes
- Pet AI Profile 4: Career Edition - giving pets professional personas
- Pet AI Profile 5: Happy Lunar New Year Edition - celebrating cultural traditions
Each edition required careful fine-tuning of Stable Diffusion models to maintain consistency while adding new thematic elements.
Market Impact
The product achieved $100,000 in sales within just three months of launch, demonstrating that well-executed AI applications could generate significant revenue. The success came from understanding not just the technology, but also the emotional connection people have with their pets.
Technical Innovation
Using advanced Stable Diffusion techniques, we developed a pipeline that could reliably anthropomorphize pets while maintaining their recognizable features. The challenge was balancing human characteristics with animal charm—too human and the result looked uncanny, too animal and it missed the anthropomorphic appeal.
This project proved that successful AI products require more than just technical capability—they need deep understanding of user emotions and market dynamics.
