Thrilled to share that our team won the Grand Prize at the 5th KAIST-POSTECH-UNIST AI & Data Science Competition!
Team RPM (Seonuk Kim, Seongho An, Minguk Jeon, Minjun Kim) took 1st place among 83 teams and 238 participants with our tire defect rate prediction system for Hankook Tire & Technology. We developed a fusion framework combining Stacked LSTM and Transformers to process both sequential sensor data and tabular manufacturing parameters.
Our approach achieved a public leaderboard score of 0.59607, securing the top position. As team leader and presenter, I coordinated our technical strategy and delivered the final presentation to industry judges.
The project received recognition from News1 as part of Hankook & Company Group's announcement. We're honored to receive the $2,300 as award and contribute to advancing AI applications in manufacturing quality control.
